Pre-marital or pre-divorce, learn how to communicate authentically and compassionately with your partner!
My communication coaching features a series of specifically designed exercises and practices to give you and your partner the tools necessary to reach new levels of connection, cooperation, trust, harmony, understanding, and compassion.
I have 17 years of experience helping couples break dysfunctional patterns, improve their communications, and find new solutions to old problems.
Couples report greater understanding, ease and intimacy usually in 1 or 2 sessions.
Our ability to connect with other people and interact with them authentically and compassionately is the single most important correlate with overall happiness. We are an interdependent species and we connect with others through verbal and non-verbal language.
Language creates our individual and shared realities. We need to be impeccable in our diction, tone, and the way we phrase questions, statements and responses.
Isn’t it time that you and your partner up-leveled the way you communicate with each other?
What couples say:
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you work with couples who aren’t yet married? Yes! I offer premarital coaching for engaged and seriously committed partners working through money, family expectations, and communication issues before they get married.
Do you work with couples in crisis, not just premarital couples? Yes! Most of my couples clients have been together for years and are dealing with seemingly irreconcilable differences, infidelity, or resentment. My protocol is built for exactly this.
Do you offer coaching for couples considering divorce? Absolutely. We’ll work together to decide which direction both of you think the relationship should go in and if I’ll do my best to help you keep everything as amicable and civilized à la “conscious uncoupling” if that’s the direction you decide to go in.
Is communications coaching the same as couples therapy? No. Coaching is a distinct, skills-focused offering rather than psychotherapy, which is why it is billed at its own rate. It is well suited to couples who want a direct, structured protocol rather than an open-ended clinical process.
How long are sessions and what do they cost? Couples sessions run 90 minutes to two hours. I offer a sliding scale of .1% of your combined annual gross income per session, with a floor of $500 and a ceiling of $1,000 per session.
Do you offer in-person or online sessions? Honestly, I prefer in-person sessions but I can make time on the weekend if a couple is in crisis and can’t make it into the office.
What’s your approach for couples? I have a particular emotional-validation protocol that I developed over 17 years of clinical practice, focused on mutual respect and appreciation.
